Sage Commits to "Customers for Life" with Major Investments in Products, Partnerships and People to Power the Small & Medium Business Economy

Sage CEO Stephen Kelly emphasizes investment in customer-driven product development, Customer Business Center (CBC) model, strategic partnerships and "giving back" at the largest Sage Summit ever in New Orleans

Sage Summit – NEW ORLEANS (July 28, 2015) — Stephen Kelly, CEO of Sage, today praised Small & Medium Businesses as the engine of the global economy and committed his company’s smart technology, global reach and the imagination of its people to energize their success.

Describing a "renaissance" taking place at Sage, Stephen Kelly outlined a roadmap for major investment in global products, partnerships and people, built upon an ambition to keep every customer for life.

Taking to the stage during his keynote, which included VIP guests Deepak Chopra and General Colin Powell, at Sage Summit in New Orleans, Stephen Kelly told customers:

"Around the world Small & Medium Businesses are the engines that make the economy grow. Here in the U.S., fully 66% of the 12 million new jobs created since 2010 were created by Small & Medium Businesses like yours. You live a human story that begins and ends with great personal sacrifice.

"When I arrived at Sage, I discovered that we had to change if we were to be a proper partner and keep each of you as a customer for life. I call it our renaissance."

Products

Stephen Kelly emphasized significant recent investment by Sage to co-create with customers a range of revolutionary new and refreshed, cloud-based products.

Sage Live, the new real-time Sage social accounting solution, is being made available for roll-out to Small & Medium Businesses in the U.S. today, with availability in the U.K. and Ireland due to follow in September. New apps are launched today for Sage Impact, the fully customizable Sage online hub for accountants, developed in partnership with the accounting community. Today also sees the release of Sage X3 in the cloud, which gives mid-sized companies the power of the Sage flagship enterprise solution without sacrificing business agility for functionality and integration.

Meanwhile, small business accounting solution Sage One has over the past year been completely redesigned – the result of extensive user interface testing with customers and input from accountants. Sage has also invested significantly in the modernization of several existing accounting and business management solutions including Sage 100 and Sage 300.

Partnerships

On Monday, Sage announced it is reinventing its relationship with independent software vendors to make it easier and faster for them to help Small & Medium Businesses around the world succeed. The program will open Sage partners’ routes to market, kickstart a new era of collaboration and re-emphasize the channel’s vital role – for the next decade.

Additionally, Sage recently announced a new network of Customer Business Centers (CBCs) to redefine the way Sage supports customers around the world through regional hubs. Operating without siloes, customer service teams will be able to collaborate to serve customers quickly and effectively.

People

Stephen Kelly sent out a strong message to customers from the stage of Sage Summit that the company has become "One Sage" and rallied his colleagues around the world to think and act as one, placing their customers’ ever-changing needs at the heart of everything they do.

He also emphasized the importance for Sage colleagues to "make a difference", not just to customers but also to energize the communities in which they live and work. He cited the recent launch of the Sage Foundation, the Sage corporate philanthropy program that sets the standard for Corporate Compassionate Capitalism around the world with its unique 2+2+2 community model.

Closing his keynote address, Stephen Kelly told Sage customers:

"Sage helped to create the small business market. We have an unmatched combination of talent, experience, global reach, and resources. And extremely broad domain knowledge of Small & Medium Businesses.

“Sage is committed to being the best technology company for a Small & Medium Business. To do that we have become One Sage, and have one global roadmap.

"Sage Summit is an expression of our commitment. It is an investment in you, in our ecosystem and in our company. It is another way we can energize you and the community."
