RICHMOND, B.C. (March 16, 2016)Sage, a market leader for integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems, supporting the ambition of the world's entrepreneurs, today announced a partnership with the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (IPBC). As a result of this partnership, IPBC and Sage can reach a greater audience of bookkeeping professionals through IPBC members as well as the Sage Accountants Network. In addition, Sage Accountants Network members will have the opportunity to join IPBC at a discounted rate, while IPBC members can enjoy access to ongoing educational content, thought leadership events and leading-edge technology from Sage. Since the technical proficiency of bookkeepers is critical to the success of the small and medium businesses in Canada, the extended availability of reliable resources to bookkeepers will directly benefit the business community.

"IPBC is committed to the success of Canadian bookkeepers, and that is exactly our mission with this partnership—to champion their achievements," said Ray Barlow, vice president, Accountant Solutions at Sage. "We are thrilled to partner with IPBC to help strengthen the community of bookkeepers in Canada and in turn help the business community prosper."

Canada's largest nonprofit bookkeeping association, IPBC was created by bookkeepers to help bookkeepers become more successful and gain better recognition within their profession. IPBC provides the environment, knowledge and resources its members need to develop excellence in bookkeeping through certification, education, networking, advocacy, information and research and create strong, trusting relationships with Canadian businesses.

"It's critical to support bookkeepers and other accounting professionals with the resources they need for success," said Louie Prosperi, chief executive officer at IPBC. "This partnership with Sage adds access to additional tools and technology to further help our members provide valuable strategic insights to their customers."
